ST. JOHNS AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM

Deerwood Academy St. Johns features an incredible afterschool program emphasizing learning beyond the bell!

The 2020-2021 school year will include our all-new, all-fun enrichment programs:

Students craft international fare while learning math skills as they measure ingredients.

Our hands-on introduction to robotics and engineering inspires young minds to create and innovate.

This journey through art history teaches the techniques used by famous artists so students can recreate timeless masterpieces.

Additional features of our afterschool program include homework help, Florida Standards Assessments support, games and activities, and a nutritious snack each day.

Students will also enjoy our large playground and courtyard area, with basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, and more!

Our afterschool program includes bus transportation from five local elementary schools:

Julington Creek Academy
Durbin Creek Elementary
Freedom Crossing Academy
Cunningham Creek Elementary
Hickory Creek Elementary

Breakfast Club Program

In addition to our innovative afterschool program, students can start their school day strong with Deerwood Academy St. Johns’ Breakfast Club. This program includes a nutritious breakfast and fun activities before drop-off at the elementary schools listed above.

St. Johns School Break Camps

Our St. Johns learning center offers camp programs during winter, spring, and summer break periods to keep your elementary aged children learning and happy.

Each week features a new educational theme that incorporates a traveling field trip and an in-school enrichment activity, plus arts, science, cooking, and educational exploration.

Some of our students’ favorite field trips include visits to the Alligator Farm, Catty Shack, MOSH, ice skating, and bowling. We provide a structured, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 6-12.

Town Center School Break Camps

Deerwood Academy Town Center’s school break camps keep children in kindergarten through 1st grade learning and happy when school is not in session. Features of our camps include:

Educational and fun weekly theme, such as Star Ship Explorers and Animal Adventurers;
Healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks served daily;
In-house field trips including Bricks for Kids, Pink Flamingo, Magic Show, and Ms. Kate Folk Show;
Weekly Cooking Project; and
Weekly Water Days outside during Summer Camp.
